Writing and the media

Forager's Field Guide, ITV, January 2006
From my early days as an academic researching in the wide areas of health and food, I have been both writing books and wandering in and out of the media; newspapers & magazines, radio and TV.

All my writing has been either for teaching or to inform the public.

Journalism and media

I occassionally contribute to feature articles on health issues, but most print journalism now in a monthly Wild Food page in Organic Life magazine, and regular Wild Food features in Gloucestershire newspapers like The Forester.

In January 2006, I was co-presenter on a 6 part TV series in ITV (West). There are hopes of repeating this programme with a new series. There are also other TV projects in planning.

In the past I was involved in several BBC2 series on Coronary Heart Disease, C4s Food for Thought series, and several World in Action programmes.

Freelance and Research

I am open to interesting proposals for both journalism and commissions to write/research technical material. Contact me through the Contact Us on this site.
