What is a drop-in clinic?

In short,  a drop-in clinic offers quick diagnosis and treatments for simple ailments. No appointment is needed. Consultations take only 10-15 minutes and any medicines prescribed can be dispensed on the spot.

Many simple ailments can be diagnosed quickly and suitable remedies prescribed. Our Drop-in Clinic is specially for these simple daily problems.

Typical conditions suitable for the Drop-in Clinic include:- coughs and colds, sprains, scalds, dandruff, digestive upsets, headaches, insomnia, cradle cap, nappy rash, colic, thrush, mouth ulcers.

If we feel that any ailments  require more thorough investigation, the herbalist may advise returning for a full consultation or refer to the patients own doctor as appropriate. Even so, it may still be possible to offer short-term treatment.

Full consultations usually  take  1 to 2 hours. This is necessary to fully understand each patient's needs and thus to make an accurate diagnosis and to offer the best advice or treatment.

Safe treatment

We encourage patients to treat simple ailments themselves. But remember that safe and effective treatment always requires both accurate diagnosis and the correct treatment. The Drop-in Clinic is ideal for people who use non-prescription medicines and natural medicines from chemists and health food shops.
